Okay, I put this under pet hates, but it is more like an extreme dislike of someone.  Richard Dawkins!

 

I refuse to call him a Professor, the only thing he seems to profess is intolerance of Religion.  Do not get me wrong I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter what that opinion may be.

 

However, some of the bigotted, patronising, quite frankly disturbing amount of bile he comes out with is insulting even to me; everything he seems to say seems to be an insult, his latest being "thinking is anathema to religion", well excuse me, but I am probably just as clever as you Richard and I have thought long and hard and can only come to one conclusion, that God does indeed exist.

 

He also seem's to be unable to grasp the idea that science and Religion do not have to be mutually exclusive.  I love science, it fascinates me, the things we can do, how thing's work, but the only reason we can do what we do is because of what we have been blessed with.

 

In fact, a classic example, and one that makes you wonder, is the particle physicist (one which commented lately on the LHC) who became an Anglican Priest!  Makes you wonder why?  Has he, or science, discovered something?  Or, has he from everything science has told him, come to the same conclussion I came up with above?  Who knows (apart from him and God)?

 

There are simply questions that science (no matter how it attempts to spin things) will never be able to answer, some of which are seemingly extremely simple questions, something he just does not seem capable of realising or grasping.

 

Fine, if he doesn't believe then fine, I do not particularly care.  However, to me, it seems that atheists like him are more obsessed about God than the likes of me!  Maybe it is himself he is trying to convince and not us.

 

You know, I have been roped into arguaments before, not through questioning my belief but because some atheists have become very insulting at which point I feel compelled to defend.

 

Don't get me wrong, I do not like to preach, that's not me, but he has annoyed an ever little bit more.

 

**NOTE:  I am not saying all, or indeed most, atheists are like this, just particular ones like Richard Dawkins.  And I have friends who are and we respect each others beliefs, thats fine by me.  Even argue with me and question me, but do not insult or patronise as I can stand toe-to-toe with the best of them.

 

I apologise if I unwittingly insult someone, but I needed to rant!  LOL

 

The old saying (well, something like) which is very apt for someone like Richard Dawkins "One does protest too much".

Saturday night was a really interesting night as we went to see Queen plus Paul Rodgers at the Liverpool Echo Arena, it was amazing!

 

It did make me wish though that I went to see them when Freddie Mercury was still alive.

The whole show was really impressive, they, managed to get a sort of duet between Freddie and Paul going, simply done, but impressive never the less. Roger Taylor even drummed on a double electric bass, extremely impressive!

Performed some of the classics as well as some of the new stuff which included Radio Ga-Ga, Hammer To Fall, It's A Kind Of Magic among others, and all I can say is they were all excellently done!

I can well recommend going to see them if you haven't already.

God Save The Queen!

Well, I have found new found love for one of my favourite games of all time, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.  You see, despite completing it ages ago, I have started from scratch as I have found the joys of downloadable mods!

 

These can range from all sorts, like brand new characters, weaponry, towns and even entirely new Worlds (someone has recreated the World of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in Oblivion) to mess with.

 

Some peeps have even taken the time to recreate the textures to make a beautiful game even more beautiful!  Well worth getting!

 

I have downloaded all sorts of mods, I probably have around 200 running, which does slow the game down a bit, but my laptop can handle it admirably and once I get my new PC it will be like WOW!

 

Yesterday, I downloaded a weather mod and it is tremendous, the storms are just incredible, the surrounding foliage sways more and reacts better than ever before.  I will get around to posting my fave mods at somepoint, they are well worth it!

 

It seems, although I have never tried them, that you can also get mods so that people get naked and you can, erm, how can I put this?, do naughties with them.

 

I will post some picture's later to show comparisons.

Well, I have discovered one thing lately, life can be very odd at times!  Yes even more odd than normal.  I would even go as far as saying even more odd than trying to jump into the middle of Lost half way through a season.

 

Now that's odd.

 

You see, I have discovered something about some people which has led me to lose a lot of respect for those people.  I am not particularly bothered by it, but it is annoying all the same.  C'est La Vie as they say.

 

Even if I discover for absolute definate that it is them, I probably won't say anything as a few things, 1 - I don't want to end up in court for assault LOL, 2 - They just ain't worth it and 3 - As one of my favourite sayings goes "Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience"!

 

Also, it seems that I have had allies where I never expected, which is very, very good.  In the end, it even's itself out I suppose.

 

Anyways, it was planned that I was going back to the gym today, but, yet again, I seem to still have a sore wrist and I was ill over the weekend!  WTF!?!?!?!?

 

On a much lighter note, the car is wonderful (Saab 9-3) and runs like a dream!  Extremely quick as well, especially mid-range (it has torque like you wouldn't believe).

 

I am sure someone is having a laugh at my expense, but there you go!

Well, I had to do it.  Since I am going to have to go at it hammer and tongs starting next week to quickly catch upto where I was six weeks ago before injuring my hand and wrist (what happened to taking it easy?  Pah!) I have created four lists which show my weekly rotation.  This shows what I will be putting myself through for the good of my health!

 

Well, it has been almost six fecking weeks!  I was planning on going back Monday but ended up off work ill!

 

You see, in all its fecking wisdom, my body decided to catch a really horrid virus/bug, which has had some horrific effects on my bodily functions, you know, sweats, head aches, coughing until my lungs burned, sneezing, runny nose, (shall we say for those of the feinting disposition) gastric issues and finally exhaustion!

 

My hand/wrist has finally stopped hurting as much and the clicking feeling disappeared a bit more, and now feels like it could take some pressure.

 

BUT, oh no!  My body has other ideas though (for this week only I hope).  I am telling you, I am starting to feel more and more like one of the Teletubbies, or Macka Packa off In The Night Garden!

 

Oh yes!  While I remember, managed to watch 90210 with Jessica Lucas in the other day, I was not impressed!  Her character irritated the hell out of me, to the point whereby I almost wanted to keal over and puke laughing!  Seriously!  Sorry Jessica, but, erm, I will be staying away from that one.

 

Having said that, it wasn't her, it was the programme in general.  Just my humble opinion.......
