Christmas Mixed With Soaps = Good Storylines

Yes I know, Christmas is here and along with Christmas, like night comes after day, we get some good storylines from the soap writers.

EastEnders has come out with a corker, Shaun kidnapping his/not actually his newborn baby girl (and to be honest I don't really like horror stories which include kids/babies).  Anyways, from being a complete nutter, Shaun was turning into a very good character, someone who cares.  Turning into a family man, a proper Dad (anyone can be a father, it takes someone special to be a Dad) he was all smiles until Suzie (more about her later) in a moment of horrific action rips his World apart.

Not without the help of Roxy's complete nutter of a father I might add (the actor is very funny in Gavin & Stacey though).  Having said that, he did see the light as he realised Roxie was very happy the way things were and decided he didn't want to do it.  By this time though, everyones most lovable rogue (yeuck) Suzie (whats that?  Speak up!  Can't hear you!  Why do you always have to whisper?  Everytime she came onto the screen I had to check the audio level of the TV as I just could not believe anyone could speak that whispery without actually trying) decided that she wasn't going to get the chance to rip Phil off and went on a rampage.

This ripped Shaun apart.  He had gone bonkers, but was just beginning to soften to Roxie again just as he found out that Jack Branning was the father!  So, lets recap on Jacks, erm, foibles love wise.  First he steals his brothers wife, Tanya, who then goes to prison to protect her daughter Loren as she ran over her own father (Max) on purpose (seriously!), at which point Jack falls back into the arms of Roxy's sister after having got Roxy pregnant, albeit whilst he was with Tanya!

Seriously, you couldn't make this stuff up for a soap....... ah, I see my error in that statement.

Needless to say, it has been a good storyline.Open-mouthed

Next up is Coronation Street.  Now really, I do hope that Craig Charles has a very good lookalike for a stunt double because the idea of kissing Liz McDonald makes me wanna, well, hurl!  (Oh, that's my shallow side coming out again, sorry peeps)

Anyways, in Corrie, we now have a murderous Scot, a constantly horny barmaid (Liz McDonald) and several very funny characters.

Speaking of killing, it brings me nicely onto Home And Away!  Well, one of the murder-by-marriage possie has disappeared, Sal, but there is time to convert Kirsty (who must surely be the nicest looking on the soap, oh I really must stop this shallowness)!  Mind you, it seems we have a possible male candidate in Jack the super-cop.

No sooner has he married Martha (for the second time I might add) has she been diagnosed with cancer!  Time yet, Jack, time yet.

I suppose the writers had to think of a way of getting rid of some female characters which didn't just involve moving to the city.  Well now is the chance, marry them to Jack!  They could always make Leah a lesbian as well I suppose.

One question I do have for all these soaps!  When a newborn baby, or very young child, is involved where do they disappear to when the parents are out galavanting?  Are they all at home just sleeping or are we to believe that they just ring MrX/MissX/MsX/MrsX to look after them at a drop of the hat and never ever are they too busy to do so?  You hardly ever see some of the children!  Only the other day I saw one and thought my God they really do exist!Open-mouthed

Later peeps, im off to try to get rid of the image of kissing Liz McDonald!

    New Vids Etc

Well, I hope you all enjoy the new vids I posted of some of my favourite songs out there.  Whilst searching for more, I stumbled across an "advert" for Ethanol Jeans which stars Jordin Sparks and Jessica Lucas!  I just had to post it, even though I think it is nonsense.

As they say though, opinions are like ar*e holes, everyone has one.Open-mouthed

I have also come to the conclusion that I am extremely fickle!  You see, in my list of prettiest actresses/stars (yes, you can call me shallow if you really like, tell me something I don't know Open-mouthed) Jessica is now back at number 1.

Belated Merry Christmas And Happy New Year

Ladies and Gents, I just thought I would take this opportunity to wish everyone a (albeit belated) Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.  I was thinking about posting on everyones guestbook but then thought it will be Christmas 2009 by the time I finished and thought it best that I just extended those wishes via a blog entry instead.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, may God bless us all and everyone.Gift with a bowPartyStar

    Possibly The End?!?!

Well, the way I am currently feeling, and considering how quiet thing's are on here, I am seriously considering closing down my blog.

I may, just may, go over to MySpace, but right now I just feel like closing this down.  It is very quiet, and what's the point in writing something if no one reads it?

This is not a criticism of anyone, and I do not expect anyone to read it, but the way I feel right this minute and considering the fact that spare time is getting harder to come by...... well, I am considering it, I may not delete it I may just make it completely inaccessible until I feel like resurrecting it again.  I am not sure what I want to do.

Good News! - Manchester Reject Congestion Charge!

Well, I have some good news as it seems the peeps in Manchester have voted an overwhelming NO to congestion charging!  Yippee!

You see, they needed 7 out of the 10 borough's to vote Yes to bring it in, the yes vote got 0 borough's!  Thats right, not a single, solitary 1!  Well done Manchester.

It worried me as you can guarantee that other council's would have used it as an opportunity to bring it in as well.

I will say it again, well done Manchester!Open-mouthed

    Oooh, Music Vids

Today, I decided to start adding some music vids to my blog.  I have started by linking in my favourite Ozzy Osbourne song (No More Tears) and one of my favourite songs of all time, Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Whom, btw, I have just heard are touring next year!  Yeehah!

Anyways, I will add anymore I like when I find them.  Let me know if you like them and give me suggestions as to what you think I may like.Open-mouthed

    Live Spaces Changes

Well, I am having a good look at the new re-design of Live Spaces and it seems that the more I use it the better it seems.  They seemed to have tried to centralized a lot of things.

Also, they seemed to have added a Facebook-type people you might know section, although when I went to use it it didn't work, but those sort of teething problems are natural on a change this big.

I have, however, had issues trying to use my spaces site all day.

It all does look a little bit daunting, but when I get used to it I am sure I will find it a lot more intuitive.  Oh yes, and don't forget, you can now block individuals, although not sure if that is from being able to read your spaces site or just from adding you as a friend.

Anyways, if anyone needs a slight helping hand then ask and I will try to help if I can.

    Whats Happened?

Well, I logged onto Live Spaces earlier this morning and found it's all changed!  What's happened?  I dunno, you turn your back for five minutes and the whole things changes!

One thing I have noticed, it seems you can block people now, which, from personal experience, is no bad thing!Open-mouthed

I may even block myself one day!

    WOW! My VAT Reduction!

Well folks, according to Labou-t today is the day when they (totally destroy) fix the economy....... all I can say is "Yeah, right!"

I went out at lunch time, and you know how much difference I noticed?  Nowt, zip, nadda, nothing!
